This is the simplest form of carton printing. Consisting of a ‘rubber stamp’ style print applied directly to the cardboard on a brown or white paper liner using waterbased inks.

Although 3 colour print is available, the style is best suited to the more basic 1 and 2 colour work where close registration is not an issue.

Available colours are also somewhat restricted so Pantone Matching System(PMS) colour matching is not always available. 

Run quantities as low as 500 are possible with this method, dependant on the sheet size.

Turnaround time is generally 2 - 3 weeks from artwork approval. 

Lithographic / Offset Printing

Litho / Offset printing is the application of high quality images directly to a reel of paper, which is then laminated to 'singleface' (corrugated inside liner plus medium) to make up a 3 ply cardboard sheet. This is then diecut, glued etc to provide a final product.

This method can be used on corrugated cartons, carry packs or gift boxes, and allows full colour (CMYK) prints to be applied to your packaging products.

Litho printing is now more environmentally friendly using the newer enviro inks and water based varnishes.
